Your meat is frozen for freshness and delivered in an eco-friendly, insulated box designed to maintain safe temperatures using dry ice as needed. The amount of dry ice is tailored to your location and delivery timing, ensuring your order arrives refrigerator cold (below 40°F).
When delivered on time and retrieved within 6-8 hours of delivery (or sooner depending on your local climate and season), your ButcherBox products should arrive refrigerator cold—below 40°F as measured with a food thermometer. Your meats could arrive partly frozen (solid) or frozen and can be placed in the freezer for later use.
Always place frozen meats on a tray or dish when thawing and follow the USDA recommended safe thawing guidelines.
