The grey foam splint is constructed of breathable nylon material. This lightweight outer foam shell and the cool, cotton-terry liner are fully perforated to help ensure ventilation. The splint is contoured to support the thumb for a wide range of users according to their palm width measurement taken at the metacarpophalangeal (MP) joints where the fingers and thumb meet the hand. The grey splint features blue circumferential, elastic contact closure straps at the forearm, wrist, and thumb to secure splint position and maintain support. The 9-inch shell extends the length of the forearm and features generously long straps that may be trimmed as needed.
